The church

Acts 19:32 & 41 The church is the assembly of God’s people. 
Acts 2:46-47 Only the Lord can add to the church. All those who have been saved in all of history are added to the church by Jesus. 
Matt 1:21 Jesus came to save His people from their sins. 
1Cor 6:18-20, 1Pet 1:18-19 We belong to One who purchase us at great cost. 
Rev 5:7-10 gives us an idea of the full extent of this transaction. 
Gal 3:13, 1Pet 2:4-5, Eph 2:4-6, Eph 1:3-4, Rom 8:29-30 Every one in the church was chosen carefully, like a stone mason choses his stones carefully, proceesing to chisel each one skillfully and fit them in the wall. 
Rev 21:2-4 & 9-11, Eph 5:25-27 The bride is the church, the heavenly Jerusalem. The Lord  Jesus will present the  church in all her splendour. Each rock was quarried out of sin and degradation and made to stand before a holy God in beauty and perfection.  But Jesus, not the bride, is the glory of heaven.
