Signs of true conversion

SIGNS OF TRUE CONVERSION (Acts 2:40-47)
We must examine ourselves to see whether we are in the faith. The evidence of true faith is the reorganisation of priorities. Three loves are present: love of (1) the Word, (2) prayer, and (3) other believers.
GOLDEN RULE OF SELF EXAMINATION: After looking at yourself, no matter what you see, the next thing to do is TO LOOK AT CHRIST Why? Because we cannot trust in our works as a basis for our assurance or salvation. If you don't look at Christ, the result is either you get disappointed (and discouraged) by all your failures or you become self-righteous. Repent of your sins and ask Christ to strengthen you and enable you to bear fruit.
Marks:
1. Love of God's Word - "apostles' teachings". Being dedicated to the Scripture (OT and NT) and the teachings of it. Do you read/love/believe it? Do you treat it as a matter of life-and-death? "My sheep hear my voice..." (John 10:27-28)
2. Love of prayer - have regular rich fellowship with your Creator and Father. What child doesn't speak to their father or doesn't benefit from it? By prayer, we are built up in our faith.
3. Love of God's people - serving and encouraging, fellowshipping with one another. Giving to one another time, energy financial help, etc. The church is not a casual association of likeminded people; it is a covenanted community committed to each other's good and wellbeing. Being a member of the church is to be accountable to one another, prevents us from becoming individualistic which the world teaches us to be.
Give to believers your whole self, as Christ gave all of Himself to us.
